Tax Issue For Buying From China?More and more China Wholesaler`s website launched their Google adwords PPC campaign. More dropshipper resold the products on line. I don`t know the market scale, but I was sure that it is quite large. My conclusion is from the monitoring of some popular wholesale website, such as lightinthebox and dhgate. However, had anyone considered about the tax issue? Today, ReviewFBI will get more details on this topic. 1 What kind of behavior should be taxed by the custom? When you import something from other countries, you should pay the custom tax according to your resident government`s regulation. However, in some region such as HongKong, it will be free of tax for that is what the government put in the bill. 2 What it will be fallen into when we buy from China? No matter what quantity or what kind of products you buy, you should put the tax. 3 How do the Wholesale website say on this issue? “The rules are different in every country. Unfortunately there is no way for our sellers to know the rules, regulations, customs, traditions, practices, loopholes, schemes, systems, paperwork, codes, laws, or rulings of every single country. Therefore, we cannot, and will not, offer advice about taxes in your country. As a buyer, it is your responsibility to find out that kind of information before you place an order. If you have to pay import taxes and/or additional duties and sales taxes, then you would have to pay that to the courier upon receipt of the package(s). We can't calculate this for you and there is no way to pre-pay it. If you are drop-shipping or sending a gift item to someone, please make sure they are aware of the possibility of having to pay taxes when receiving the goods.”
In my point of view, buying from China wholesaler`s website is not anti any laws. However, the seller, the buyer and the shipper are cross countries. This makes it more complicated for the customers to put their eyes on that. In fact there are 2 similar situation: buy from a Ebay cross country seller and take your keepsake when you back home from the vacation place. It is an ethic issue when you take these things in the same angle. However, most of the governments may be just too busy to take more efforts on imposing more tax on your personal business.
