Exclusive:Paypal Will Stop Supporting Aliexpress On Aug. 3rd.
In our first review on Aliexpress, we blamed its bloody payment gate way. Then, it started to work with paypal for better user experiences, also buyer`s confidence. In June 3rd, Paypal announced on its blog :“we have decided that PayPal will no longer be a payment option on AliExpress after August 3rd and we want to let our users know about this change as soon as possible so that they can be prepared.“
The hidden facts
Some said Aliexpress`s fast growth had threaten ebay`s global business, especially those cross counties selling business. However, they might just ignore one little fact: Paypal was an independent company, in strategies and operation, thought it was still under eBay.
Another popular saying was that they have dispute on the services charge. Wait, 2.5% what you could expect? So there should be other hidden facts.
I believed the only reason that PayPal stop supporting Aliexpress was PayPal cared about their user experiences. According to my watches, aliexpress.com might have more complaints, disputes called by PayPal, than the acceptable average No. The cross oceans trading brings lots of
disadvantages for the buyer`s satisfaction. Just image that how exhausted the buyer feel when they returned the products, argued the shipping fee, dealt with seller saying bloody English and heard PayPal did not accept their dispute as the payment was for Aliexpress, not for Aliexpress`s seller. (When buyer paid Aliexpress via Paypal, payapl would took this payment as Aliexpress, which was a 3rd payty marketplace. The item was not sold by Aliexpress, so disputes like “item not as described “ would be denied)
Some reader may challenge me: wait, wait, the buyer dealt with eBay China seller may experience the same thing. OK. Here were the differences: the sellers and the ebay policy. Have you ever seen Window 7 disk on eBay? And Have you ever seen Aliexpress`s seller backend in English? Seller with more professionalism, such as English, plus Ebay`s high standards on products listing regulation matters.
Anyway, without PayPal Aliexpress.com is still awesome.
