Dealextreme.com review: Check our products review and buyer guild for the top gadgets wholesaler!

Gadgets are one of the best selling categories on line. When I tried to buy gadgets from China, my friend Gordon referred dealextreme.com. I check the site very carefully for Gordon is one of the LED gadget seller in EBay and a very smart business man. I am quite surprise that dealextreme.com has more visitors than lightinthtbox.com and dhgate. Let`s go to the details.

1 About the traffics

A website will have new visitors and return visitors. A website will acquire new visitors via Google by getting higher positions in the organic search results or paying money to list on the sponsor search area. You should also admit that larger site will have more traffics, right?
OK, when I compare lightinthebox.com, dhgate.com and dealextreme.com, I get the following: dealextreme.com has higher Alex ranking (the most authentic traffics ranking, higher ranking, more traffics) with lowest Google inclusion. (Inclusion is the total volume that Google indexed the site, more inclusion means more opportunities to feed the user`s search enquiries).
What is more interesting, dealextreme.com does not put much paid search adverts on Google.
It comes to the conclusion that lots of return users visit the website and generate the high traffics. (In fact, Gordon told me that dealextreme.com is famous in Canada, especially in the Canadian-Chinese communities)

2 So… why users return to dealextreme.com always?

Just skim around the site, you will found one rule: simple, gargets and cheap! When I post reviews on other china wholesale sites, warranty and qualities are always my concerns. How about the item is simple enough to meet the global standards so that the qualities are stable enough to convince you to ignore warranty? Dealextreme figures it out! They are just selling mini adapter, cables, card readers, key chains… which have simple function and can be fall into “simple” once it means the global 3C quality standards.
Considering the merchant will not shit what they eat, they will definitely looking for quality supper who can manufacture products under that standard with competitive prices.
So are you still suffering from the “copy cat” iphone, or experience huge complaints for your dropshipping clients? It is time to start another business approach!

3 Shipping and payment

They offer quite a lots of methods for shipping methods – EMS, DHL, Hong Kong Post to name a few. They accept PayPal and bank transfer. The most popular method for shipping maybe Hongkong Post, which is a regular post without any tracking. (It does not make senses that you pay more in shipping than item prices).

4 Are there any complaints on dealextreme.com? Any scam case?

As stated above, the non-tracking shipping methods unsatisfied some clients. There are some complaints in complaintboard.com on the shipping issues, some complaint that the arrival items are defective, some other issued a scam…. All the posts are related with the shipping.
Frank speaking, Hong Kong post is not a cool method for mailing across countries. I had experienced some the same thing once.

Consider the high volume of shipping in dealextreme, the unsatisfied level are much lower than dhgate.com, which has so many complaints on the same complaint sites.
I think dealextreme.com should try more aggressive measures at the shipping issues.

5 Buyer Guilds

If you are looking for some “simple gargets”, dealextreme.com should be on top of your watching list.
When you make a deal, you just email their staff to require better package, especially when you choose Hong Kong post as the shipping methods.
Just skip those fragile and complicated items, or use DHL to ship the items. Please consider whether the item can experience poor and rough shipping, or whether the express shipping is afford for your budget.
