Onvon.com Review: Suspected Scammer with Strict QA Team?
Last week I wrote a review mainly about online electronic wholesalers. This week I would to continue the topic and onvon.com is what I am going to talk about. Onvon.com review: reflection on forumsTo have a quick look, you will see “onvon latest products”, “onvon news letter”, “onvon recommended” or other ads flooding on related forums. Their products seem pretty good; some are brand new while some claim to be prestigious international brands. They guarantee you standard QA for each product before delivery. But all the flatter words do not cover the negative responses from buyer. People yelling that they are unfairly treated by onvon or advice others not to buy from it anymore. Onvon.com is suspected to be a scam, but is it the fact? I would like to search more. Onvon.com review: how is its business model?Procuring and selling flowOnvon said it has close relationship with famous manufacturer and electronics factories, since they attend the Canton Fair, Hong Kong Electronics fair and Shanghai Globalsource Electronic fair and TaiWan Consume electronics fair frequently. That is how it works: negotiating with manufacturers in the fairs and inviting them to display their catalog in onvon.com, then attract customers to buy things from its own website and then return the purchase cost to manufacturers. This is a typical business model for lots of online wholesalers. But joining famous fairs doesn’t equal quality products. I have attend Canton Fair and I know there are manufacturers displaying fake or poor products for low price. Onvon.com review: new hand strike for survive The domain info shows that onvon.com is created in 2007, which means it only doing online business for no more than 3 years, typical new hand in this field. Onvon.com is owned by a trading company with 50-100 employees, according to its registration info in alibaba.com. I really doubt how can it process QA and package with such few employees since it promise to inspect and package each product before delivery by their own team. In this fierce competing electronic whole market, especially Shenzhen, I think onvon is just a new hand with less experience and capital and still strike for survive.
