Micwell.com Reviews: well, a new wedding seller or scammer ? worth buying from or not ?

Well designed home page, no contact details, this was micwell.com. The domain was registered in 2010. Their traffics had a hike in Sep. It started to compete with other wholesalers.

Micwell.com : is it associated with other wholesalers?

The registration info showed that micwell.com was operated in Beijing. Here was the detail.

Other famous Chinese Wedding wholesalers: Lightintehbox.com, tidybuy.com, dhgate.com all located in the same cities. I could not found more evidences to connect micwell.com with other wholesalers.  The phone No. just brought me to some video site, mightbe hold by the same group of people.
The only info I could found in its VeriSign certification was this company :”HOUWANGZHE SHUZI YINYUE WENHUA CO.,LTD.”… Google translated part of the name as “ digital, music, culture”.  It seemed it was really operated by some digital company who had experiences in video and entertainment..

I pick one item called “  2011 Style A-line V-neck Asymmetrical Sleeveless Chiffon Prom Dress / Evening Dress (SZ008034)”  as my research sample, which was promoted on its home page.  we found the same product with the same pictures (and even the same item code  SZ008034 )  in the following websites :

dhgate.com:$124 include free shipping, $79/piece for 30+pieces order 
jjshouse.com $113.49 + $9.9 Shipping (15-30 days)
bridalgowncheap.com: $154.99, not include shipping, rush tailor would be charged another 25$, not cheap at all. The item share the same item code: (SZ008034)
fishinthesky.com:  $69.99 worldwide free shipping in 6-8 business day. Hmm, I should review this site next time, thought it also share the same item code.

Micwell.com sold the item at $79.98, big size need to another $9.9 to upgrade, shipping would be not free and US $ 22.18 within 8 business days.

One thing for sure, you could buy the same item at some other website at a lower price. However, most of the buyer could told other factor into their consideration, such as customer services.

We found a story for this issue, and it was reported by a poor mother.
“ My daughter was so excited to find the dress she was looking for on the site www.micwell.com. We ordered the dress, it arrived timely enough however, according to their sizing chart on their website the dress was made inaccurately. I took it to a seamstress and they measured the bust and waist. According to their website a size 4 has a bust measurement of 33 1/2 inches and a waist measurement of 26 1/2 inches. The actual measurements of the dress they sent us was: Bust - 35 inches with a built in cup too large and Waist - 27 inches. My daughter is not able to use this dress and if we were to have it altered it would cost upwards of $100. I would also like to mention the skirt length is 3 inches longer than the picture on your website. The website states no returns but exchanges within 3 days. They do not offer any sort of exchanges. It is very difficult to even get in touch with anyone. Very disappointing!

The size did matter for fashion products, other sellers also had the same complaints. If you want to buy in micwell.com, keep in mind that they could made a wrong size for you and would not offer return shipping reimbursement.

Conclusion: is it a scammer? Worth buying from?

Not a scammer, at least I could see a real VeriSigh certification - which need a legal entity to buy. The products were not very strong enough as other wholesalers sold the same items, even in the lower prices. (If they could expand the categories much more, this disadvantage could be ignored). Micwell.com`s attitude towards communication was extremely awful - no contact details showed that they were afraid to be open. If a seller was good enough, it would told its client :" yea, just call us " and its competitor " let`s fight"
