Ownta.com Review: The First Wholesaler Telling You" We are Selling Refurbished" Martin from ownta.com left a message via our comment system last year, hoping we could write a review for his site. When digging the details for ownta.com in April 2009, we thought it just too small to review. It was a totally another situation in the last few months. Ownta.com`s traffics had skyrocketed, almost doubled from the shopping season. It would be our time to unveil this wholesaler. 1 Own Group Ltd hold ownta.com Posting the domain info might be bad but we believed it would be useful for user to review. Believed or not, for posing the contacts, ReviewFBI pissed so many sites that some of them even tried to do some evil thing. For the Martin, key staff of ownta.com, always kept his eyes on our site, he just spurred the domain registered info.
We still located the domain registered info:

We checked in the HongKong authority, their register No. was 1313471 2 Products Review 2.1 About the refurbished/recondition itemIs there any store saying they are selling refurbished/recondition items? I have found only ownta.com so far.
When you dig through ownta.com, you should keep you eyes open to see whether the description had refurbished or recondition statement or mark. It was good to keep open and transparent.
They also have clear statement on warranty issue but you may just skip them for there were so many implicit statements that you would be dispointed while claiming solution. The existing of ownta.com proved that our previous saying about the products was 100% right. The following illustration would teach you how to distinguish the refurbished items: check the title/refurbished icon/item image. Papayaone.com Review: Coming From Global Sources Direct?
While digging trough Google for more funny electronics gadgets, I stumbled on papalyone.com. I used my ultimate “ReviewFBI” methodology to check this site. It should be listed as one of the hiding wholesaler without any contact phone no. I thought most new visitors for this site would have the same question: will it scam me? I tried my best to feed all dropshippers/wholesalers/ebayers` curiosities.
1 Papayaone.com domain info and Papaya Holdings Limited It was quite confused that papayaone.com registered in US, then operated in Shenzhen with a Hongkong registered company. I found papaya holding limited registered date was almost the same with its domain. Papayaone.com did not leave me any “hints” for further research so I have to turn to its domain owner again. 2 Finding about the cofounder of Papayaone.com We found this record in its domian info: “Administrative Contact: Him, Savv"
This lady was showed as the domain administrator. When I used people search, I finally figured it out her background.
In Ms. Him`s linkin profile, work experiences of “Sales and Marketing Manager in Global Sources Direct” pop up into my eyes. There she was! (Global Sources Direct was one of the wholesale marketplaces but it had already been shut down)
It seemed that papayaone.com was just Ms. Him`s part-time for her linkin profile said she works for Microsoft now. There was another possibility that she was one of confounder and served the papayaone with her sufficient profession in her spare time. 3 Papayaone.com`s Products – All were from Global Sources Direct? If my dummy assumption was correct, the papayaone.com`s product would be similar to the Global Sources Direct. I checked the architected email to find promotion email sending from Globalsourcesdirect.com. The email proved my opinion!
One of reason for Globalsourcesdirect.com shutting down was that it was not compromised to sale tons of fake items. If we considered two sites in another angle, did it mean papayaone.com succeeded the products from globalsorcesdirect.com and had better qualities? (Global Sources Direct had a quality control team to check the items from seller before sending them to buyers)
You might look at its phone accessories and other gadgets, while skipping the cell phones. 4 Services on Papayaone.comWhen a merchant blocked its communication with its clients, it would not satisfy the client in other things

Milkhoneyland.com review: just a small wholesaler, info on products and scam/legit issues
Milkhoneyland.com was listed on our watch list two months ago. We thought it was under developing for the contact us and affiliate program page were always showed “not found” status. A few months was passed, we still did not see its upgrading. We then figured it out that it was too small to forget modifying those pages. Ha ha.., Let`s go to the details.
1 Milkhoneyland.com Domain Register:

Discrepancy was found between the entity and whois.
The real owner of milkhoneyland.com was CANAAN GLOBAL LTD., which was under the name “ Jing Lu”.
Another discrepancy was the contact addresses in their online profiles. We found Milkhoneyland`s record in alibaba.com. It claimed to be a Hongkong Company, which registered in “ Flat/Rm 1101, 11/F, San Toi Bldg, 139 Connaught Rd, Central, Hong Kong”, while its site told us that it located in Shenzhen.
2 Is it Milkhoneyland.com a Scam? Is it legit?
There was no official contact address and phone No. on its official website; however, they listed those contact things on alibaba.com. The unverified VeriSign logo and the 1 year Alibaba Gold member citified would also confuse you, what was more, the contacts in Alibaba and aliexpress were different.
Milkhoneyland was a legit company. Lots of merchants registered a Hongkong offshore company and placed its operation center in Shenzhen under a China-registered company. My experiences told me that most of “China wholesalers” were from off line business. That is why they seemed to a scammer for they were lack of common sense for the new online wholesale.
They were just a small seller/trader. No scam record was found according to our research.

Tomtop.com Review: Research On Its Scam/Services/Products Discrepancy was the one of my popular words for consistency mattered! At least, the wholesaler tried to present the same profile for all users. Why I said so? We found the trend that lots of wholesalers had their owned site with seller profiles on major marketplaces/trading platforms. Tomtop.com was one of them. It was controversial that tomtop.com listed different items on its own site and the 3rd party site. We would disclose why they did so in the following review. 1Tomtop.com ScamWe found a scam report submitted by s client on one of the wholesale community. The client said that tomtop.com scam him over $1800+ without sending anything.
Another posting also indicated that tomtop.com was listed as scam website by an authority.
Comparing with its 6 year domain history and 4 year Alibaba golden suppler membership, we were confused for these scam cases.
2 About Tomtop.com`s services:
Tomtop was a trader so it just resold you the products souring from market. Tomtop did not have restricted regulation to guarantee their staffs checking the product before sending. It made some clients complaint on the product qualities.
Another open-eyeing post reflected that Tomtop.com might send you the item up to 25 days. Tomtop.com`s staff took lots of roles: sourcing, services representative. The advantage for this structure was they would know what you were talking about, however, it heavily depended on the staff`s professionalism. Some guys might underestimate your expectation for they had never experienced the excellent services by your standards. They encouraged customer to contact them via instant messenger like Live Messenger and Skype though they offered live chat support. 3 Product Reviews Tomtop.com: Only Game Console Accessories is OK?They tried to be a comprehensive wholesaler by offering more items, thought some item were less attractive than other sites. Never buy item on tomtop.com unless it was listed on its alibaba store. We found some game accessories might be their focus.

Sourcinggate.com Review: a site operated by genius and fuckers? Sourcinggate.com scam?It seems more and more wholesale site try to be the very gate for better importing or sourcing. That may be why someone set up a site called sourcinggate.com. Sourcinggate.com has quite a good performance in the Google search results. For example, when you type "china wholesale electronics" in Google, you will see it. It is not a well designed site and just a wholesaler but it listed "best seller" on its home page. It is really confused site. 1 Who the hell is wendy wendy?When I checked sourcinggate.com`s register info on domaintools.com, “wendy wendy” was recorded in the owner filed. It is a very strange name, isn`t it? It should be the name of E.T`s sister according to my amateur knowledge on names.
It is obviously that the register tries to hide his/her true identities. We find a sourcinggate.com client claiming to be scammed by this site. He sent a complaint via a local friend in China and providing the following info to the local authorities:

So the lovely “wendy wendy” is called “YangFan”. 2 Where is sourcinggate.com from?China! It is operated by a company called Blovin Technology co.ltd. It relocated several times according to the search results on its company name. Please do not take serious of the US phone No. on their contact us page. It is just a forwarding service. You can buy online everywhere.
3 How about their services? Poor! Why I have such kind of conclusion? Just imagine the cheapo wholesaler who tries to pretend to be American company by offering a US Phone No. with a Chinese contact address. In fact, they can offer a toll free phone
