 About ChargeBack

Google ChargeBack Free eligibility:

1.         The merchant shipped the order to the buyer's shipping address (as specified in the Google Checkout Merchant Center or the Google Checkout API call) according to the shipping method and timeframe agreed upon when the order was placed.

2.         The merchant provide a tracking number or other proof of delivery for transactions less than US$250.

3.         The merchant provide proof of delivery with the buyer's signature for transactions greater than US$250.

4.         The merchant receive a request from Google for supporting documentation and provide this information within ten business days.

5.         The merchant is currently displaying a clear return policy on your website. The disputed order doesn't involve intangible goods.

Chargeback policy covers:

l  All sales of tangible goods that meet google`s  content policies.

l  Chargebacks resulting from claims of unauthorized purchases and non-receipt of items.

Chargeback policy doesn't cover:

l  Intangible goods, such as services and digital content.

l  Chargebacks resulting from claims of defective merchandise or 'items not as described.

Feature:

Ø  Adwords linked

Ø  ACV & CVV plus info sharing to prevent fraud

Ø  Support API

Ø  Call-to-verified (Buyer phone 3 verification ) required for high risk payment

Disadvantage:

Ø  Dispute* policy may be friendly to our business model.

Ø  Mediation services are available for Google Checkout orders placed in the last three months.  *Dispute :  If a buyer disputes a transaction with the merchant, google will urge the merchant, to resolve the issue directly with the buyer. If the merchant is unable to reach a resolution with the buyer directly, Google can review the situation and propose a solution. Should the merchant receive a dispute notification email from the google checkout specialists, reply within 3 business days is compulsory. The merchant must respond to all buyer inquiries and ship orders within the promised timeframe. If Google is notified that the merchant is not responding to buyer inquiries, Google reserves the right to review the situation and take appropriate action, which may include suspending the Google Checkout access.Google Checkout access may be suspended or terminated if:1 Google is asked to mediate an excessive number of disputes during which your business is found to be at fault.

2 Google is notified that you aren't responding in good faith to reasonable communications (including requests for order status information or details about missing orders) from buyers.
